Foreclosure Rates = Great Opportunities

I am a great believer that the increase in foreclosures we are witnessing just tells us that there are many great opportunities waiting for us. The USA Today has recently reported that there are 2.1 million foreclosures across the country. Wow! That is a staggering number. Sure, there are great deals to be had in the foreclosure market, but how many people are just a couple of months away from foreclosure? How many people are finding it difficult to make their next house payment?

Trust me, the 2.1 million homes in foreclosure is just the tip of the iceberg when adding up all the people looking for some sort of financial relief and don't know how to find it. This is where I discover tremendous opportunities. The Mortgage Bankers Association's chief economist, Doug Duncan, recently predicted in the Wall Street Journal that delinquencies would likely rise, peaking later in the year. He also said rising foreclosures probably wouldn't peak until next year. "Our view is that we will probably see modest increases in delinquencies and foreclosures for the next couple of quarters," Mr. Duncan said.
